That unique perspective infuses my creative philosophy every day. With over 20 years of experience and 16 brand launches under my belt, I continue to look for the insights and opportunities that can drive customer behavior and create memorable brands.

Peter Rabôt

Partner/Creative Director. Munn Rabôt

Peter started Munn Rabôt in 1995. As Creative Director, he has worked in virtually every business category, from health care to finance, automotive, education, and travel & tourism – to name a few. His agency’s recent television campaign for New York-Presbyterian is perceived as breakthrough in the hospital category. Peter says, “Of all the categories I’ve worked in, I view health care as the most difficult in which to engage an audience. Imagine looking in the newspaper and seeing an ad for the new iPad. There’s a good chance that you’d be engaged. Turn the page and you see an ad for a hospital promoting its latest treatments for cancer. If you’re like most people, you can’t wait to turn the page – because while everyone wants an iPad, no one wants cancer”. There’s an urgent need for health care marketers and their agencies to completely rethink how they approach the category”.

Jane Askew

Publicis

She’s a mom with a 16 year old daughter.

She’s also a copywriter, with 30 years in the ad/marketing and communications business, both in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Although writing is her passion – currently Head of Copy at Publicis South Africa – she spent two years as a partner in an ad recruitment company, and a few years ago, put on her marketing hat to spend 6 months consulting as Head of Marketing for Virgin Spa. She’s also dabbled in creative strategy.

Jane works above, below, through and beyond the line… in FMCG, retail, internal marketing and medical arenas.

She has extensive experience on OTC brands, but is a relative newcomer to medical advertising. It appears that she has a massive amount of beginner’s luck because she was the enormously proud recipient of a 2011 Global Award (Sanofi – Breast Cancer Awareness Internal Campaign).

Jonathan Deeb

Euro RSCG South Africa

Testimony to his leadership and organisational ability (a rare quality in creatives) Jonathan has headed up the accounts of some of South Africa’s biggest billing brands including Edgars, Reckitt Benckiser, Discovery & Absa Bank. Another career highlight was the notable Nando’s CEO campaign, which was extremely well received in South Africa. He was approached by Euro RSCG to join them at the end of 2010 - it was just a little too hard to resist. The Euro philosophy of fulfilling potential was something that Jonathan had been looking for in his career. He took up his new post as partner in the business and Executive Creative Director of the Euro RSCG group in South Africa in March 2011.

In the less than two years that Jonathan has been with Euro he has led numerous successful creative business pitches resulting in the company growing by 50%. In this short time, the creative output of the agency has also peaked the interest of the global Euro Group. Australia and London have both called on South Africa to assist with creative campaigns as well as BETC Euro RSCG (second most creative agency in the world according to the Gunn Report) calling on South Africa to conceptualise and implement a large part of an international Peugeot car launch. In his capacity as ECD he is responsible for guiding the creative output of the agency in producing iconic and effective communication.
