Executive Creative Director/Innovation Lead, Havas Life Milan, Italy
I have over 15 years of experience in healthcare communications and currently I lead a large creative team working on assignments at domestic and international and global levels. Soon after graduating in sciences, I went on to specialize in Comic Illustrations & Computer Graphics at the European Institute of Design in Milan; my scientific background, combined with this artistic training, created a perfect marriage that enabled me to step into the world of healthcare communications. Before joining S&H in 2000, I worked for Ogilvy and for a number of design boutiques. I left Sudler briefly to work at Leo Burnett, the healthcare division for 2 years, working on both healthcare and consumer clients, but was approached to return to the Sudler network before moving on to the Havas business.
I have experience which covers all aspects of creativity – from TV to print, branding, internet/new media and digital strategies for substantial healthcare brands in a wide range of therapeutic areas. I have been responsible for and contributed too many successful projects, including Bayer’s Global Oncology Franchise, the global campaigns for Adalat (cardiovascular) and Glucobay (diabetes), the pan-EU launches of Pfizer’s Vfend (anti-infective) and BI’s Ariclaim (SUI), the EU pre-launch/launch of Onglyza (diabetes -AstraZeneca/BMS). In addition, I have also handled the domestic launches of Viagra (ED), Vimovo (osteoarthritis), NovoSeven (acquired hemophilia), Brilique (ACS), Bayer Italy Corporate Image and the Cardioaspirin stroke prevention public awareness campaign. My creative work has been recognized by international awards at the Rx Club, the IPA Best of Health and the Globals. Apart from my agency work I have been Professor of Art Direction at Milan’s European Institute of Design for six years which I find very engaging and rewarding.
