Chrissy started her advertising career in DDB, Y&R, S&H and Curtis Jones of Brown where she became Head of Art. After working overseas for a while she was invited to join the team and McCann Health. Her work has been recognized in NY Festivals, Globals, Lions Health, ADMA, and Spikes.

Oliver Caporn

Creative DIrector, CDM London, UK

Olly spent much of his early career at HAVAS working on large consumer campaigns for Peugeot, Citroen, VO5, WeightWatchers and Abbey National among many others, before starting his healthcare career at ICC Lowe in 2011.

In 2013 he moved to CDM London to oversee the creative rebirth of the agency and in 2015 his work for Shield Therapeutics – The ‘boring symposium campaign’ - won three bronzes at Lions Health and propelled CDM London to second place in agency of the year and contributed significantly to CDM winning Healthcare Agency Network of the year.

CDM London is now a major player in the UK market with a recent ‘Best in show’ win at the PM Society awards in February and three more bronzes at this year’s Lion’s Health for the Contour Diabetes pre-launch animations.

Olly is passionate about big ideas that have the scale and flexibility to transcend traditional advertising media or language borders and cut through to connect on a human and global scale.

In his spare time he plays guitar in a pub band and writes his popular blog which is also a regular feature on advertisinghealth.com

Associate Creative Director, MullenLowe Brasil, Brazil

Augusto "Jesus" Correia is a senior integrated creative art director, currently working at MullenLowe in São Paulo, Brazil. He believes advertising has only 2 ways to be relevant: being useful or being entertaining. Noel Smetanig

17 years ago Noël started as an intern at BBDO Proximity in Hamburg/Germany, staying until 2006 and working on clients such as Panasonic, Volkswagen, T-Mobile, DHL, Schwarzkopf, and Hornbach.In 2008, after a one-year freelance adventure, he moved to Sydney/Australia and has been working at Deepend ever since.Noël builds strong relationships with clients. Combining this with a deep understanding of their customers he is able to develop a vision for desirable experiences that are technically feasible and viable for the business.As the Design Director, he is across all Deepend’s major clients in various industries ranging from Healthcare, Entertainment, FMCG, Arts, Travel and more. Over the years he has been fortunate enough to win various national and international Awards like Webbys, Aimia, Promax, B&T, IAB etc.

Debra Polkes

Managing Partner, Executive Creative Director, CDM Princeton, USA    

Debra Polkes is a managing partner, Executive Creative Director at CDM in Princeton. She is a recent transplant from the New York office where she spent the last 16 years leading creative teams and the agency to new heights. Debra is defined by a relentless drive to deliver award-winning work and life changing brand experiences.

The brands that Debra has touched and guided literally comprise a list of CDM’s Greatest Hits and her work has garnered the industry’s most prestigious awards. Most recently she won a Silver Lion for the Xifaxan web experience and made the Shortlist for both the Little Lungs integrated campaign and the ‘Knit Big for Little Lungs’ experiential event. Her ‘Gut Guy’ SuperBowl spot last year earned two Bronze Clios and created quite the social media stir – making its way into the New York Times, The Onion and a mention on Jimmy Fallon.

Debra has sat on the Executive Jury for the Clios for the past two years and was on the Pharma Jury at the 2017 Cannes Lions Health Awards.

Debra lives in New York City and is slowly adjusting to her life as a reverse commuter.

 

Paul Foster

Creative Director, BBH, UK

Paul recently joined BBH London as Creative Director responsible for their healthcare business, following a role in Italy as ECD at Sudler Milan.

Originally a copywriter on brands including Magners, Jo Malone and Harrods, he decided to specialise in healthcare communication in 2010. Since then, he was worked on numerous award-winning campaigns for everything from facial aesthetics to diabetes and oncology.

Back in London, he's looking forward to working with an exciting new team on campaigns that get noticed and make a difference.

Ayu Sasaki

Creative Director, Dentsu Inc., Japan

Joining Dentsu in 2002, Ayu started her career as a strategist. She enjoys working seamlessly across business and creative solutions driven by bold, gravitating concepts.

As a mother herself, she is passionate about designing a healthy lifestyle and environment for moms and children, and has lead global and local projects for a wide range of clients such as baby care, home care, hygiene care and education.

She has been a speaker for various forums starting from Adfest 2008, and a jury member in Cannes Lions 2017.

Carolyn Gargano

SVP, Creative Director, Area 23, USA

Carolyn Gargano has an unprecedented passion, attention to detail and focus on raising the bar ever higher on project after project. Carolyn is particularly drawn to creative supporting social good and well being for all.  

Her indefatigable energy has produced a whirling dervish of ideas that have landed her accolades and honours from shows and festivals including the Clio Health Awards, The Care Awards, Communication Arts, The Global Awards, Graphis, Cannes Lions, Lions Health, The One Screen, ACT awards, MM&M Awards, Shorty Awards, Shorty Social Good Awards, The Creative Floor Healthcare Awards, The New York Festivals, The Webby Awards and the ACT Responsible exhibition at Cannes Lions. 

As an experienced art director and creative director, Carolyn has found the greatest inspiration in staying close to the work while continuing to hone her craft. Carolyn has worked on campaigns for Allergan, Merial Pet Care, Mrs. Green’s Natural Market, JM Modell Foundation, Crossroads Community, Clinton Foundation, Nestlé Healthcare, and Gottex Swimwear.

Vinayak D. Shinde

Creative Director, Healthcare, Medulla Healthcare Communications, India

A commercial artist by qualification, Vinayak constantly crosses all lines and limits in advertising, having tried his hand at every single nuance of the trade right from design to copy. With a diploma in Maya animation, he also brings to the table sound knowledge and expertise needed for multimedia assignments.

Starting with communication design for pharma clients and then diversifying to ‘fashion’ and social media before coming back to pharma, his career graph has come a full circle. He has got a total of around 20 years of agency experience behind him. At Medulla, we are constantly amazed by the perspective that Vinayak brings in thanks to the many hats he has worn and refused to remove. In the pharma sector, he has probably worked out creatives for more media than people are often exposed to in their lifetime – including print, websites, social media, AVs and commercials.

An easy to approach personality and a flair for mentoring fresh talent has seen him at the helm of setting up teams for various agencies.  He manages to churn out work that’s logically right and aesthetically brilliant at the same time. His work is a showcase of ‘juxtaposition’ that’s a result of his use of a copious bank of information on varied subjects mixed with a whacky design sense. With due credit to his visual memory and discipline, his passion for work is contagious and spreads across departments. Striving for a new approach and exploring new avenues to communicate the message is where his passion lies.

Vinayak always says that he has never ‘worked’ as he has converted his hobbies into his profession. He is a film buff, loves writing, and likes to spend quality time with his family.

 

 

Eva Neveau

Group Creative Director, SapientRazorfish, USA

Eva Neveau is an award-winning Group Creative Director, Art Director with experience rooted in web development, user experience, and digital advertising. As clients look for a holistic approach to their advertising, her experience has grown to include television, print, and events. Eva has lead multi-disciplinary teams to create brand experiences for clients such as Kellogg’s, Kraft, Marshalls, Mary Kay, Children’s Hospital Colorado, CitySearch, Disney, Dodge, Ace Hardware and Zales. Eva has also won prestigious industry awards at The Effies, Cannes Lions, AdAge, FWA, and the Web Marketing Association.

Eva has a degree in Art History from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and studied Advertising and Communication Design at Art Center in Pasadena.

Abhinay Patil

I am an artist at heart and an adman by profession. 

As a child I showed early signs of creative capabilities, which were picked up by my father and channelized in the right direction. 

Having won many prizes in art competitions at school and college level, a career in applied art was the obvious choice.

I graduated from India's leading art schools, Sir JJ Institute of Applied Art. I began my career with Leo Burnett before pursuing masters in advertising

from Savannah College of Art and Design in the United States.

With over 10 years' experience prior to Medulla, I have worked for Evolution Bureau, San Fransico and for Grey and Ogilvy in Mumbai.

I bring with me wealth of expertise in leadership, bringing insightful simple ideas to life, strategising, and client engagement.

And my diverse portfolio includes acclaimed work on McDonald's, BCCI (IPL and Champion's League), Mumbai Indians, Tata Motors, Muscleblaze to name a few.

My work has regularly won accolades at national and international advertising festivals.

Advertising is my passion and paper craft is something I hold very dear and something I love to do in free time.

Eric Houseknecht

Executive Creative DIrector, Seiden Advertising, USA

Eric got into advertising because a high school friend in Texas told him it was the closest one could get to Hollywood without having any real talent. Which of course turned out to be nonsense, but he likes telling that story anyway. His career as an art director/writer has taken him to the UK, France, and Hong Kong, picking up various awards at each stop along the way. Chiat/Day, Kirshenbaum + Partners, McCann, St. Lukes and Wooley Pau have all graciously tolerated his late morning starts and madman like behavior, for which he is really and truly grateful. Eric is currently ECD at Seiden Advertising (New York’s best kept secret).

Hugh Fitzhardinge

Founder, Creative Director, Ward6, Australia

After completing a BA in Fine Arts and English at Sydney University, Hugh travelled the world for four years before returning home and winning an AFA Scholarship at JWT (1990).

In 1995 he joined CWFS (later acquired by McCann Health) and in 1999 rose to become Creative Director. During this time, instilling in staff that ‘healthcare can compete with the best work anywhere’ and helping the agency win more awards than any other. 

In 2004 he became Creative Director of Publicis LifeBrands before becoming a founding partner of Ward6 in 2007. After ten years Ward6 boasts an enviable client list, collection of awards and offices in Sydney and Singapore. 

Hugh has won countless awards, including 15 ‘Global’ awards and three ‘Grand Global’ awards at the New York Festivals honouring the world’s best healthcare advertising. He was also on the jury for the first ever Cannes Lions Health ‘Pharma’ (2014) and Chairman of Judges at Clio Healthcare (2012).

Beyond his family and helping to build Ward6, Hugh also finds time to write about food, travel and golf.

André Hansen

Creative Director, Ogilvy Healthworld, South Africa

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA // Having completed his studies at the AAA School of Advertising in Johannesburg in 1999,André gained valuable experience at a number of creative agencies before joining Ogilvy Healthworld as Senior Art Director in 2009.

An accomplished designer with solid knowledge of medical advertising practices, his conceptual abilities, attention to detail and inherent talent for creating beautiful imagery make him an invaluable asset to his team in South Africa. André recently joined an esteemed panel of healthcare advertising experts where they had to comment and answer questions about some hand-picked global healthcare campaigns. Over the years he has defined and improved identities and campaigns for numerous well known local and international brands. Gaining international exposure in the Ogilvy group, he recently spent six months in Mauritius where he lead the creative team at Maurice Publicité Ogilvy and Mather. André finds inspiration in anything creative and has a keen interest in photography, typography, illustration and architecture.

Jeromie Misenheimer

Jeromie is an award-winning SVP/Group Creative Director at Digitas Health. Known for his great creative leadership, he brings together the talents and expertise of multiple disciplines – Creative, Strategy, Ux and Social – to create powerful stories that help build brands, and ultimately improve patient lives. He is passionate about innovation, creativity, and most of all Digitas Health’s mantra, ‘helping, not selling.’

Sean Riley

Executive Creative Director - Japan & North Aisa, McCann Health, Japan

Sean has worked across a wide range of leading FMCG and healthcare brands in Canada, the United States, Australia, Singapore and now Japan. His work has been recognized at Cannes, the One Show, AMES, NY Festivals, ARCHIVE and Communication Arts amongst others.

Sean joined McCann Healthcare Australia in 1999, where he worked across both the Melbourne and Sydney offices.

In 2007, after completing a 1-year tour of Australia in just under 13 years, he took the position of Creative Director with McCann Healthcare Singapore. There he concentrated on building regional and global campaigns for everything from infant nutrition through to end-stage cancer management.

Recently relocated to Tokyo, Sean firmly believes Health and Wellness is the true crucible for creativity and the only place in advertising where you can actually feel good about what you do for a living.

Cherie Davies

Creative Director, Sudler & Hennessey, Australia

Cherie began her advertising career 14 years ago at Saatchi & Saatchi working for the retail brand David Jones. From there she has worked for a number of agencies including Saatchi Wellness, Sudler & Hennessy Sydney, Sudler & Hennessy International based in Milan and greyhealth Australia.

With both local and international experience, Cherie has worked on a large range of global and local brands, including campaigns for the likes of Pfizer, GSK, Roche and Bayer to name a few.

Cherie has recently been appointed Creative Director of the newly rebranded Sudler Sydney.

Jana Apostolopulu

Chief Creative Officer, Pink Carrots Communications, Germany

Jana Apostolopulu is an award-winning creative who feels equally at home in two cultures, in her professional world as well as in her personal life. She has over 20 years of agency experience with network agencies such as Leo Burnett, McCann, and TBWA, where she worked for renowned brands and developed national and international campaigns. Her career covers a broad variety of business fields, with an early focus on a holistic and cross-media approach.

Jana loves to reflect upon brands from an analytical and strategic perspective and to create brand scenarios that ensure sustainable success in a multicultural and globalized setting. For her, storytelling and dramaturgy are the keys to human interaction.

Seeing the creative process as an inexhaustible source of big ideas, she jumps on each new job with fresh thoughts and contagious enthusiasm. This is probably why shortly after Jana joined Pink Carrots, the agency flew to the top of the list of creative healthcare agencies in Germany, and landed her on award juries around the world.

Josh Tumelty

Early in Josh’s career, he cut his creative teeth at Havas Worldwide (Formerly Euro RSCG Worldwide) and quickly moved through the ranks from designer to senior art director — accumulating over a dozen creative awards during his first 3 years in the industry. From there he would go on to become the creative lead for an independent interactive and branding agency, focused on healthcare technology. Shortly after, Josh’s continued creative success opened the door to a coveted opportunity with Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare and the Publicis Healthcare network. 

His passion for uncovering profound human insights would help lead to the creation of more meaningful brand experiences for his clients. This passion, coupled with his creative curiosity, has awarded Josh the opportunity to gain a wide range of industry experience, from global launches to first-in-class compounds, to working with rare forms of cancer. 

Currently serving as the Executive Creative Director of Discovery USA (Philadelphia & Chicago), Josh believes strongly that creativity can solve any problem. With over a decade of agency experience behind him, he is driven to ensure that the creative product is inspiring, innovative, and deeply rooted in strategic thinking. Most recently Josh played a critical role in the integration of 3 agencies into a single identity focused on delivering purpose-driven brands. John Scott

Creative Director, Ward 6, Singapore

John has worked in healthcare communications and FMCG for 15+ years. Having worked in various countries throughout the APAC region, he has developed a strong sense and vision for creative communications. With a strong portfolio of film, digital and integrated ideas working on regional brands and accounts – he has crafted many awarded campaigns that have been globally recognised in various award shows.
