Denis O'Keefe

VP, Creative Director, Sandbox, USA

Over the last 13 years, Chicago’s healthcare agencies have been Denis’s creative training ground. During that time, he’s taken a customer-first approach to generating big, media-agnostic ideas that make meaningful differences for the brands he’s worked on and the companies he’s worked for.

As a VP, Creative Director at Sandbox, Denis helps guide and grow the talent within the creative department. When it comes to building brands, Denis specializes in helping the team create systems designed to ensure brands deliver consistently rewarding experiences across multiple channels and audiences.

Throughout his career, Denis has strengthened brands across a wide range of categories including cardiology, psychiatry, hematology, transplantation, and immunology.

Stephanie Franke

VP Creative Director, Discovery Worldwide, USA

Over the past 20 years in advertising and marketing, Stephanie has built quite a repository of experience in a variety of disciplines, from branding to direct response to retail and experiential. Her most recent challenge is in the medical realm at Discovery Worldwide, where she is charged with elevating creative storytelling and innovative delivery of the agency’s offerings across advertising, advocacy and medical communications functions.

Franke is known for developing strategic creative, applying behavior science techniques and connecting brands and causes to the customer through insightful storytelling. As VP, Creative Director at MARC USA, she spearheaded campaigns for Girls Inc., Trusted Choice Independent Insurance Agents, DePaul University, International Truck and STA-BIL Engine Additives. She previously served as VP, Creative Director at FCB for 10 years.  With a heavy focus on CRM, promotions and digital, her accounts included MilkPEP, USPS, and SC Johnson. Franke developed promotional creative for MilkPEP’s iconic milk mustache campaign. 

Last year, Franke co-founded a non-profit organization, The Know No Project, which became a social sensation internationally. Proof that Stephanie knows how to craft a strong story steeped in human experiences and strong creative that compels people to take action.

Michelle Tucker

VP, Managing Creative Director, Scout Marketing, USA

Whether it's leading a creative team through a multi-channel brand launch, writing a 140-character twitter post, brainstorming a new campaign or developing a new TV spot, Michelle has created and championed smartly integrated campaigns for world-class brands such as Stelara, Prezista, Prezcobix, Similac Baby Formula, Onfi, Xyrem and Emflaza. Michelle’s work has garnered accolades including Rx Club Gold, as well as DTC National Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards.

A strong proponent of mentoring and fostering young talent in the industry, Michelle is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Communications at Loyola University Chicago.

Chris Rudnick

Chris has proven that he is a creative leader during his ten years in the healthcare advertising and communications field. As a Senior Vice President, Group Creative Director at TBWA\WORLDHEALTH, Chris has developed game-changing campaigns, memorable branding, and innovative multichannel initiatives across a wide array of national and international healthcare brands. Some of the specialty brands on which he has worked on are Takeda’s Entyvio, Otsuka and BMS's Abilify, Maintena, Sanofi’s Actonel, BMS’s Orencia, AbbVie’s Humira, Celgene’s Abraxane, Alcon’s Durezol, Azopt, and Opti-Free, and Galderma’s Restylane, Dysport, and Sculptra. 

Chris has won many awards for his work including multiple digital awards for the Patient and HCP website for Alkermes’s Vivitrol (for drug/alcohol addiction) and most recently for the launch campaign and tactics for Galderma's Restylane Silk. 

Chris has also worked on MOA driven campaigns for Galderma’s Sculptra, Alcon’s Durezol, as well as a gamification of the MOA for Vivitrol. He has also launched myriad brands in categories ranging from CNS to aesthetics.

Abby Mansfield

Senior Vice President and Creative Director, HCB Health, USA

Abby oversees the creative staff and development of the creative product within the agency. She is a key client resource, involved in both early strategic planning and the creative work that follows.

After getting her start as a copywriter in direct marketing, she’s spent most of her career in health care, working with clients such as Abbott, Baxter, Sandoz, Syntex Labs, Johnson and Johnson, Mission Pharmacal, Terumo, and Teva Neuroscience. For some reason, she found neurology, women’s health, and cardiology a bit more compelling than credit card offers.

Stephen’s philosophy for a great creative campaign is simple — it should make a human connection. He emphasizes that creativity in healthcare advertising need not depend on molecules, charts, or weighty content to help physicians connect emotionally with a brand.

Under his leadership, the agency has won more than 125 creative awards in healthcare advertising, including CLIO Awards, Global Awards, and awards from Medical Marketing & Media, The Rx Club, DTC National, Manny Awards, and many others.

Victoria McGee

Creative Group Head, Langland, UK

Victoria joined Langland as a Copywriter in 2009. Since then, she has been pivotal in elevating the creative output of the agency’s Clinical Trial Recruitment team. So much so, that she was promoted to Creative Group Head in 2016. This was in recognition of her keen focus on strategy development and outstanding execution – a focus that has resulted in more than 40 industry awards, including 1 Global, 2 Bronze Health CLIOs and 3 Bronze Cannes Lions Health awards.

Today, as well as guiding the CTR team in the creation, development, and execution of deeply resonant work, Victoria is passionate about nurturing junior members of the team and creating an environment in which they can thrive.

An avid reader, she is also determined to read all the books.

Arron O’Hare

Creative DIrector, LEC London, UK

Arron has been in the business of generating creative solutions for health, wellness, and pharmaceutical products for over 25 years.

During this time he has worked at agencies including PAN (Now DJMPAN Unlimited) and Concentric Health Experience and has been fortunate enough to get his name, and those of his teams, on many shiny trophies and certificates, including PM Society Advertising Awards, Creative Floor Awards, IPA BoH Awards, and most recently, a brace of Cannes Lions Health Awards.

He believes audiences deserve to be entertained, engaged, amused and challenged; and the best way to achieve this is with simple, bold, yet meaningful creativity.

Brett O'Connor

Founder, VCCP Health, UK

The early part of Brett’s career was spent at consumer agencies such as McCann Ericson, JWT and Havas. He then took the experience he gained there and applied it to healthcare advertising at Torre Lazur McCann London, becoming the Creative Director a few years later. He then left McCann to be a founder of VCCP Health. During his time in health care, his experience has stretched across many therapy areas on both global and UK accounts, winning numerous Rx and OTC creative awards along the way.

Becky Williams

Creative Director, Hodes, UK

10 years in the advertising industry has seen Becky in a variety of different agencies and different sectors. Currently, she's Creative Director at Hodes in London and in her 2.5 years there has helped steer the agency to numerous prestigious creative awards, including Agency of the Year in 2016. Hodes specializes in recruitment advertising and employer marketing and produces a huge breadth of creative and strategic work for a range of clients. In her time in this sector, she's worked on integrated, digital and social media campaigns and branding and web projects for global and regional clients, such as McDonald's, The Body Shop, Royal Mail, Dixons Carphone, Sky and Unilever. Prior to that, she spent almost 4 years at TBWA as a Copywriter, Creative and (unofficial) Strategist working on consumer, wellness and healthcare brands, including Tena Lady, Sensodyne, Aquafresh and Galderma. 

Tim Condrick

Creative Director, Orchard, Australia

Tim is the Creative Director at Orchard – an Independent creative agency who fuse art and technology to invent better outcomes in health, wellness and consumer brands.  Having worked in London for several years, Tim returned to Australia in 2014 to take up the position of Head of Creative at Insight, an independent healthcare communications agency. During his time in the UK Tim worked as a Senior Art Director for 2 creatively focused agencies on 14 different UK, European and International clients.  He was with VCCP Health for 3 years where he won awards for his work on Glaxo Smith Klein, Roche, Astellas and Omega Pharma. Prior to this he was Senior Art Director at Seven Stones and created award-winning work for clients, Pfizer, GSK, Novartis, and GE. Tim began his career in Australia in 2001 with Saatchi & Saatchi before moving to MOON and then M&C Saatchi. 

Phil Brown

Creative Director, Bill Curtis & Phil Brown, Australia

A great 25 years as Creative Director of Curtis Jones & Brown, with the agency’s creative work recognized by AWARD, the Clios, the Globals, London International Advertising Awards and the New York festivals. He was also a founding member of Bravo! – A Celebration of Australian Healthcare Creativity.

His proudest achievement is having been part of the development and growth of many of the people who now run Australia’s finest healthcare agencies. He has been a judge for the Prime Awards, the Globals, the 2016 Lions and the 2017 London International Awards.

Nitin Mistry

A creative director with 20 years of experience in the digital and advertising industry, Nitin has worked at some of the leading agencies in London and Sydney. This blend of being a digital native with traditional advertising skills has to lead him to build many hugely successful departments and to be recognized with multiple awards from Cannes, D&AD, Webbys, Clio’s and more.

Nicki Mortimer

Senior Creative/Copywriter, Insight, Australia

Formerly creative director of Publicis Life Brands and Medicus Sydney, Nicki has been with Insight since 2010.

Her creative career began with Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand, and over two decades her work has been recognized in the NY Festivals, London Internationals, One Show, Mobius, Folio, Clio, Kinsale, AWARD, IPA Health and the Globals.

Nicki’s broader communications experience includes developing advertising curriculum for a Sydney university and consulting on brand language. 

Among other creative pursuits, Nicki sings in a community and an acapella choir and helps out running a creative writing class at a women’s drop-in center.


Scott Smith

Creative Director, DDB Remedy, Australia

Over many years in the industry, Scott has developed countless successful campaigns across virtually every discipline, category and medium for some of Australia’s largest and most successful agencies.

Along the way, he has judged, and won, numerous creative awards both nationally and globally, spoken at industry seminars and events, and mentored whole new generations of creative talent – helping found and run the highly successful ADMA Creative School.

Scott has been a Creative Director within DDB Group Australia for almost two decades - working with DDB Remedy on key projects since its inception in 2002, before taking up a full-time role in 2013.

He is passionate about healthcare marketing, and the unique opportunity it offers to have a meaningful impact on the world.


Thomas Dirnberger

Creative Director, Business Partner, Sway Creative, Australia

Thomas Dirnberger has been in the advertising business for 14 years. He started out in South Africa, getting his hands dirty with art-working and design, and then worked his way into Art Direction from where he has progressed through the ranks to Creative Director.

His career has spanned three continents and includes seven years in London leading Global campaigns, and five years in Australia learning the Asia-Pac market where he now runs his own small creative agency within the healthcare space.  As well as running his own creative agency, Thomas is the brand engagement director for the Welio Telehealth Platform and continues to consult on a number of global healthcare brands.

Thomas has worked on a whole host of brands, from DTC through to Healthcare, including everything from pool products to the more serious oncology drugs – as well as Viagra, which he has worked on at every agency throughout his career. Thomas has been lucky enough to be awarded for the work he has done, too, is one the most awarded Healthcare creatives globally.
