Diego started his carrier at a traditional print company in Brazil, where he discovered his love for design and visual arts. He then went on to study economics, but decided to give this up to blaze new trails. After a time in Madrid, he came to Lisbon, where he joined his first healthcare agency. During his post-graduate studies at the Lisbon Ad School he worked as a freelancer in London and Lisbon. He then spent two years at digital and guerrilla agencies. Just before he was named one of the top 3 ADs in Portugal, he returned to Brazil as Country Manager for the FunnyHow agency, working with brands such as Guinness, Desperados, Nintendo, Teva, Pfizer and Durex. In 2015, Diego took over the leadership of the creative department at Havas Life São Paulo, where he won gold and silver at Cannes, as well as two gold awards at Clio Health and awards from The One Show and Epica festivals. He was a jury member at the Cannes Lions, The Hatch, and Global Awards in 2017. Along with Mauro, Diego was responsible for Parkinsounds, the only project ever to receive a Cannes award in both the Pharma and Entertainment categories.
